The Flagger had a short day today, but this is kind of related. My latest visitor at Coal Creek is a juvenile Bald Eagle. Whistling up a storm atop a power pole on the BPA land. My old style yellow jacket/wasp traps are finally catching up with the population. Good thing, too, they were quite active in the dog yard. Looking into that 5 gallon bucket and seeing a couple inches of yellow jacket corpses is somewhat unnerving. Bittersweet but happy they are across their own waspy Rainbow Bridge.
